Robert Half, Korn Ferry, and Kelly Services are among the top recruiting and staffing agencies, according to ranked lists recently published by Forbes. The three lists — America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms, America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms, and America’s Best Temp Staffing Firms — are based on nominations from more than 31,000 recruiters, as well as 6,900 job candidates and human resources managers who worked with recruitment agencies.

Robert Half, which earned the top spot on all three lists, credits technology for its success. “We have invested heavily and continue to invest heavily in technology,” said Paul McDonald, senior executive director. “We got on the train early, and thank goodness we did.” Specifically, the firm has employed AI-powered recruiting technology to better match candidates with job requirements, then automatically invite promising prospects to apply.

Korn Ferry, which ranked second on the Best Executive Recruiting Firms list and third on the Best Professional Recruiting Firms list, is also an advocate of technology adoption. The firm invested in its psychometric assessment to evaluate candidates’ fit for a specific type of role or workplace environment. “It’s really not about finding the talent — it’s about finding who they are,” said Gary Burnison, CEO. “We’ve put a lot of capital behind our intellectual property to find out who people are.”

Ranked second on both the Professional Recruiting and Temp Staffing lists, Kelly Services is focusing on finding “hidden workers,” such as those who are formerly incarcerated, on the autism spectrum, or veterans without a four-year degree. “When you consider today’s talent attraction challenges,” said Peter Quigley, president and CEO, “knocking down these employment barriers is not just the right thing to do; it’s good business.”
