In May, Google debuted Google for Jobs, a function that combines machine-learning with the world’s largest search engine to create a massive online job board. When a user searches for jobs on Google, a new Jobs box will appear, listing top positions in a searcher’s area, complete with links, logos, and company reviews. There are also filters to help users narrow their searches.
The jobs that appear are sourced from many integrated job boards, such as LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Monster, and Glassdoor. It also includes other job-related sites that have Google’s custom tagging in their HTML.
Recruiters can now reach more candidates directly with Google, simply by applying the custom tagging to their job listings site.
