Healthcare created 36,500 jobs in June, the highest monthly count this year. Ambulatory services hired the majority of June’s new healthcare professionals, followed by hospitals. The average monthly gains of this year clock in at 24,000 new healthcare jobs, which is significantly lower than 2016’s monthly average of 36,000.
The economy created more jobs than anticipated last month, but recruiters may continue to see slowed growth in healthcare due to the shaky status of the ACA.
