- Professional and business services (+44,000)
- Federal government (+37,000)
Where job openings decreased
- Accommodation and food services (-147,000)
- Private educational services (-34,000)
- Real estate and rental and leasing (-32,000)
- Other services (-16,000)
- Retail trade (-16,000)
The number of hires and total separations also saw little change, coming in at 5.8 million and 5.4 million, respectively.
