Over 90% of employers will maintain or increase staffing levels in Q1 2017, according to the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey. Predictions for Q1 come from 11,000 survey respondents.
Here are some highlights:
- The majority of employers (73%) will maintain staffing levels. Nearly 20% anticipate a staffing increase.
- The top 3 sectors for hiring in Q1 are Leisure and Hospitality (+27%), Wholesale & Retail Trade (+20%), and Transportation & Utilities (+19%)
- Employment outlooks are strongest in Florida, California, Oklahoma, Oregon, Hawaii, and Iowa.
- Employment outlooks are weakest in Wyoming, West Virginia, Montana, Puerto Rico, North Dakota, and Ohio
