Women-owned staffing businesses face unique challenges during their startup phase, from securing capital and building market presence to navigating industry-specific regulatory requirements.
The American Staffing Association (ASA) Foundation has unveiled an ambitious new initiative designed to strengthen and diversify the staffing industry’s leadership pipeline. The ASA Foundation Accelerator Program aims to support women entrepreneurs during the most critical phase of business development — the first five years of operation.
This year-long opportunity provides a structured pathway for growth, combining peer collaboration with expert guidance to help participants overcome common obstacles and accelerate their path to sustainable success. It offers monthly peer groups led by industry veterans, brings together 15-20 business owners to share knowledge and solve challenges collaboratively, and provides complimentary registration to THRIVE Live and Staffing World conferences. The program also includes access to mentorship through the ASA Mentor Match program and networking opportunities with established leaders.
Additionally, one participant will be awarded a $15,000 grant to support growth initiatives such as fractional executive roles, technology implementation, executive coaching, or strategic marketing efforts.
Eligibility and application process
Applicants must be women business owners who have founded staffing firms operating for more than one year but less than five years, with businesses established after July 1, 2020. Applicants must maintain at least 51% ownership and be actively involved in daily operations.
The program requires a significant commitment, including attendance at 75% of monthly peer calls and participation in both THRIVE Live and Staffing World 2025 conferences in Orlando.
Applications are currently being accepted through August 13, 2025, with acceptance notifications scheduled for August 27, 2025.
