Job seekers applicants for vacancy standing in line with resumes and waiting for interview

A whopping 70% of employed adults are currently seeking a new job, either actively or passively, according to new results from CareerBuilder, most commonly because they want a higher salary. Of those, roughly 20% are active job seekers, while 26% occasionally look at job openings. CareerBuilder notes that this is positive news for recruiters.

“We are seeing an impressive amount of potential growth within the workforce as Americans express interest in exploring new roles and diving into different industries,” said Susan Arthur, CEO of CareerBuilder. “The data shows that the future of work will continue to shift as job seekers evaluate the current job market and determine which career opportunities are right for them.”
