Hiring has shifted from an HR priority to a business-level priority, according to the Lighthouse Research & Advisory 2022 Talent Acquisition Trends report. The findings indicate that talent acquisition priorities have changed over the past 12 to 24 months as businesses of all sizes and industries face hiring challenges.

A large majority (83%) of respondents said that hiring is now a business-level priority. Three quarters of employers (75%) said that compensation is a real issue when it comes to hiring activities, and over half of respondents said that a lack of competitive compensation has hampered their company-wide hiring activities over the last year.

The top three talent acquisition priorities for 2022 are as follows:

  1. Diversity and inclusion (33%)
  2. Sourcing (29%)
  3. Recruitment marketing (29%)

The survey also revealed that, In the search for talent, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) providers can be a helpful partner for employers. Companies that have better revenue, retention, and employee engagement than their peers are 2x more likely to be using an RPO provider to support their hiring objectives.
