The economy added 138,000 jobs in May, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The temporary agency penetration rate reached an all-time high of 2.064%, and temp jobs added 12,900 for the month. Temporary employment has seen an increase of 4.9% year over year, averaging an additional 11,700 jobs every month. Healthcare, leisure & hospitality, and professional services had the highest industry gains.
Recruiters can expect jobs to continue to grow slowly.
