When we surveyed staffing leaders in January for the 2023 State of Staffing report, many (85%) were projecting growth for the year ahead. But they weren’t sure how the economy would impact their business.
To see how their expectations have changed in light of high-profile layoffs, ongoing talent shortages, and the possibility of a recession, we conducted a Mid-Year Pulse Survey. We found that more than half of respondents decreased their growth projections, and 14% revised them downward by more than 20%.
