Human resources has had the highest rate of turnover of any job function, according to a new analysis from LinkedIn. Between July 2021 and June 2022, HR roles saw 14.6% turnover, compared to 10.6% average across all roles. Rounding out the top five are research (13.1%), product management (13.0%), marketing (12.9%), and consulting (11.7%).
On the other end of the spectrum, the lowest turnover rates were in administration (7.8%), operations (8.8%), accounting (9.4%), business development (9.5%), and finance (10.0%).
The “most sought-after functions” — engineering, sales, and IT — had turnover rates somewhere in the middle.
