11,000 workers can’t be wrong! And the vast majority of them say that workplace culture matters. SHRM Research’s latest The State of Global Workplace Culture in 2023 report shows just how much.

Highlights from the report:

  • Employees who rate their workplace culture positively are 790% more likely to feel satisfied at work than those who rate the culture negatively. They’re also 83% less likely to be actively looking for a new job.
  • Aside from compensation, elements of workplace culture, like insufficient growth opportunities and poor management, are the top reasons people look for a new job.
  • Equitable leadership practices and high career fulfillment greatly increase people’s ratings of their workplace culture and job satisfaction.
